Vinyasa

The beauty of Vinyasa yoga is the variety. There is no standard sequence in Vinyasa yoga, so the style, pace and intensity will all vary depending on the teacher. This class moves from pose to pose with each held for no more than five to eight breaths. The continual flowing movements help stretch and elongate our muscles while they are being strengthened, allowing greater flexibility and range of motion. Expect a fully balanced class of forward bending, twists, backbends with opportunity for inversions. All levels are welcome to join this vigorous practice designed to connect with our bodies and breath, build heat and unlock blocked energy

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga focuses on the balance between body and mind to channel vital energy sources. In Sanskrit, Hatha translates to force. The practice involves a sequence of asanas (postures) with emphasis on the breath and the mind-body connection. It is generally practiced more slowly and with more static posture holds than found in styles such as Vinyasa. Decelerating your daily pace, this class anchors you into the present moment, focusing on slow conscious movement and a willful use of breath.
